GUARD TO HAVE WOMEN'S DIVISION

The enlistment of women over 18 years of age who are competent clerks has been authorized for the Georgia State Guard. Each battalion headquarters will be allowed to have one Technical Sergeant, one Technician 3rd grade and four Technicians 5th grade and each company headquarters will be allowed one Technician 3rd grade and one Technician 5th grade. The Women's Division of the Guard will be governed by the rules and regulations prescribed for the men of the Guard in so far as they are applicable and the uniforms will be the same as the Women's Army Corps, A. U. S. except the Georgia State Guard Buttons, Insignia and Shoulder Patch will be worn. The service of all members of this Women's Division is limited to clerical duties at the home station.
